A mixture of 11.4 g of 4-(2-(4-trans-pentylcyclo-hexyl)-ethynyl)-phenyl sulfur pentafluoride (prepared as in EXAMPLE 7), 50 ml of toLuene and 10 mg of palladium-on-active charcoal is hydrogenated at room temperature under normal pressure. The solid constituents are filtered off and the filtrate is concentrated and worked up in the customary manner to give 4-(2-(trans-4-pentyl-cyclohexyl)-ethyl)-phenyl-sulfur pentafluoride.
