By the method of Example 1, 6-methoxy-4-chromanone (26.7 g, 0.15 mol) and pyridine-4-carbaldehyde were converted to present title product, 13.5 g; m.p. 170°-171.5° C.; IR (KBr) 1675, 1616, 1598, 1552 cm-1.
