PROCEDURE

实验过程

138 g (0.6 mole) of 6-acetyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1,1,4,4-tetramethylnaphthalene and 98.5 g (0.6 mole) of methyl 4-formylbenzoate in a mixture of 16 g of sodium hydroxide and 690 ml of methanol were stirred for 16 hours at room temperature. The precipitated crystals were filtered off under suction and dried to give 132 g of 3-(4-carbomethoxyphenyl)-1-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-5,5,8,8-tetramethyl-2-naphthalenyl)-prop-2-en-1-one of melting point 89°-91° C.
