A mixture of 1.04 g (6.09 mmol) of 4-methylsulfonylaniline (obtained in reference example 1), 1.00 mL (6.09 mmol) of 4-isopropoxybenzaldehyde (obtained in reference example 3) and 25 mL of toluene was heated at reflux in a Dean-Stark for 2 days. The solvent was removed and the crude product obtained was directly used in the next reaction.
