Reaction Steps
3,5-Dichloro-2,6-difluoro-4-(4-methoxyphenoxy)pyridine (1.5 g, 4.9 mmol) and chlorosulfonic acid (0.39 ml, 5.8 mmol) were stirred in 5 ml of methylene chloride overnight. The resulting solid-was filtered and washed with cold CH2Cl2. Compound 43a was obtained as solid in 70% yield.
