Procedure
The title compound of Example 83 in methanol (5 mL) was treated with a solution of sodium hydroxide (64 mg, 1.6 mmol) in water (2 mL) and the reaction mixture stirred at room temperature for 14 h. After concentration of the reaction mixture in vacuo, water (5 mL) was added and the solution acidified with conc. hydrochloric acid (5 drops) to afford a white precipitate, which was removed by filtration, and dried in vacuo to give the title compound as an off-white solid (180 mg, 0.43 mmol).
Workup
- customto afford a white precipitate, which
- customwas removed by filtration
- customdried in vacuo
