Reaction Steps
The title compound was prepared as described in General Method 3 using 4.0 mmol of 5,6-dihydro-4-hydroxy-6,6-diphenyl-2H-pyran-2-one (prepared in Example W) and 4.0 mmol of NBS. The product was obtained as a solid. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 3.68 (s, 2 H), 7.27-7.40 (m, 10 H).
