7,7-Dimethyl-1,2,3,4,7,8-hexahydro-quinoline -5(6H)-one was reacted with 4-butylbenzoyl chloride according to the procedure of Part (b) of Example 1 to give 7,7-dimethyl-1,2,3,4, 7,8-hexahydro-1-(4-butylbenzoyl)-quinoline5(6H)-one (22) as a yellow solid.
