Reaction Steps

1-Benzyl-4-[N-methyl-N-(2-isopropylamino-4-fluorophenyl)amino]piperidine (EXAMPLE 170, 2.90 g, 8.16 mmol) and platinum hydroxide on carbon (1.0 g) in 50 ml ethanol is hydrogenated at 276 kPa (40 psi) hydrogen for 25 hrs. Filtration and evaporation of the solvent gives the tide compound, NMR (300 MHz, CD3OD) 7.02, 6.32, 6.24, 3.60, 3.15, 2.90, 2.75, 2.54, 1.8-2.0, 1.50 and 1.18δ.
