Prepared according to the method described in Example 1(g) above from (R)-Nω,Nω '-bis(Cbz)-N2 -(diphenylacetyl)-(R)-N-(2-hydroxy-1-phenylethyl)-arginine amide (0.250 g; from step (e) above), 10% Pd/C (200 mg) and, instead of HOAc, 50 mL of MeOH with 1 mL of concentrated HCl, yielding 69 mg of the title compound.
