A methanolic solution of the product prepared in Step A was diluted to 100 ml and 12.4 ml of concentrated HCl was added. The solution was stirred at ambient temperature for 18 hours, concentrated, and the residue was dissolve in 80 ml of water and extracted twice with CH2Cl2. The aqueous layer was concentrated, treated with n-propanol and concentrated under high vacuum to give the title compound as a foam.
