To a solution of 1.0 g of N-[3-[2-(1H- imidazol-1-yl)ethoxy]phenyl]-4-(2-thienyl)-2-pyrimidinamine in 10 ml of hot ethyl alcohol is added 5 ml of ethyl alcohol containing 0.3 q of HCl. Crystals begin to form and the reaction mixture is cooled. The solid is collected by filtration, washed with ethyl alcohol and dried, mp 238°-253° C.
