300 g NH4OH, containing 23.14% by weight of NH3, and 800 g of water were introduced into a 2 1 round-bottomed flask equipped with a magnetic stirrer. 543 g of L-aspartic acid were then added progressively such as to maintain the temperature of the mixture below 50° C. After cooling, a homogeneous 37.27% w/w ammonium aspartate aqueous solution was obtained.
