A solution of 0.1 g (0.31 mmol) of 4-phenyl-4-(3-(2-methoxyphenyl)-3-oxo-2-azaprop-1-yl)piperidine (Example 2), 0.025 mL of pyridine (0.31 mmole) in 2 mL of acetic anhydride was mixed for 18 hr. The reaction was diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with saturated NaHCO3. The organic fraction was dried over MgSO4 and the filtrate was concentrated. The residue was purified by chromatography (silica, ethyl acetate) to give the title compound.
