Following General Procedure E and (3,5-di-tert-butyl-4methoxy-phenylethynyl)-trimethyl-silane (Intermediate 168, 0.28 g, 0.9 mmol), potassium carbonate (0.98 g, 7.1 mmol) and methanol (10 mL) followed by flash column chromatography over silica gel (230-400 mesh) using hexane as the eluent, the title compound was obtained (0.23 g, 100%).
