Phenylsulfonyl chloride (0.24 ml) was added to a solution of the product from step (b) (396 ml) and triethylamine (0.44 ml) in dichloromethane (3 ml) and the mixture was stirred for 3 h. Water was added and the mixture was extracted with dichloromethane. The organic extracts were dried (MgSO4), evaporated in vacuo and purified by chromatography (silica, petrol—ether as eluent) to give the sub-title compound (431 mg).
