26 mmol of ethyl{3-[6-oxo-3-(4-cyanophenyl)-6H-pyridazin-1-ylmethyl]-phenyl}carbamate are dissolved in 300 ml of methanolic ammonia solution (10%), 4 g of Raney Ni are added, and the mixture is hydrogenated at room temperature for 16 h under a hydrogen atmosphere (5 bar). The catalyst is separated off, rinsed with methanol, and the filtrate is evaporated.
