Reaction Steps

1 g (2.5 mmol) of ethyl{3-[3-(3-nitrophenyl)-6-oxo-6H-pyridazin-1-yl-methyl]phenyl}carbamate are dissolved in 10 ml of THF, 1 g of Raney nickel is added, and the mixture is hydrogenated at room temperature for 6 h under a hydrogen atmosphere. The reaction mixture is filtered, the filter residue is rinsed with THF, and the filtrate is evaporated to dryness.
