To 5-(3-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)phenylamino)pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carbaldehyde (74 mg, 0.221 mmol) in EtOH was added hydantoin (22 mg, 0.221 mmol) and piperidine (22 μL, 0.221 mmol). The mixture was heated at 70° C. The solid formed was filtered off and the filtrate was prepared by HPLC to yield 5-((5-(3-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)phenylamino)pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-3-yl)methylene)imidazolidine-2,4-dione. LCMS (M+1=419)
