To 3-dimethylcarbamoyl-4-methoxy-5-trifluoromethylbenzoic acid (333 mg), toluene (3 mL), N,N-dimethylformamide (1 droplet) and thionyl chloride (0.13 mL) was added, and then the mixture was stirred at 60° C. for 6 hours. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure and the obtained residue was azeotroped with toluene and used for the synthesis of (f).
