A suspension of 2-chloro-6-(4-methanesulphonyl-piperazin-1-ylmethyl)-4-morpholin-4-yl-thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidine (201 mg, 0.465 mmol), (5-tributylstannyl-thiazol-2-yl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (341 mg, 0.7 mmol), and Pd(PPh3)4 (27 mg, 0.023 mmol) in anhydrous DMA was heated in a microwave at 150° C. for 10 mins. Ethyl acetate/water extraction and purification on silica using 10% methanol in ethyl acetate as the eluent to give 5-[6-(4-methanesulphonyl-piperazin-1-ylmethyl)-4-morpholin-4-yl-thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-2-yl]-thiazol-2-ylamine as an off-white solid (84 mg, 36%).
