2,3-Dihydro-benzo[b]oxepine-4-carboxylicacid (2.3 mmol) was dissolved in 15 ml tetrahydrofuran. 0.7 ml of thionylchloride were added dropwise and the solution was stirred for two hours. The reaction was quenched by methanol. Methanol and thionylchloride were removed in vacuo yielding 340 mg of 2,3-Dihydro-benzo[b]oxepine-4-carbonylchloride. This was used for step E without further purification.
