Procedure
(1H-Indol-2-yl)-(4-methyl-piperazin-1-yl)-methanone (Example 4, 0.123 g) in THF (1 mL) was treated with Lawesson's reagent (0.243 g) and stirred at ambient temperature overnight. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified via preparative thin layer chromatography to afford the title compound (0.02 g). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 9.21 (br s, 1H), 7.62 (d, J=8.0 Hz, 1H), 7.40 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 1H), 7.29 (d, J=7.3 Hz, 1H), 7.12 (m, 1H), 6.60 (s, 1H), 4.39 (br s, 4H), 3.85 (br s, 4H), 2.63 (s, 3H).
