Reaction Steps

A mixture of intermediate 12 (0.009 mol) and N,N-dimethylacetamide dimethyl acetal (0.015 mol) in toluene (100 ml) was stirred and refluxed for 3 hours. The solvent was evaporated, yielding 4.1 g (100%) of N-[1-(dimethylamino)ethylidene]-6-[[4-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenoxy]butyl]thio]-3-pyridazinecarbothioamide (intermediate 13).
