Reaction Steps

At t=−30, vehicle, or amylin ±AC-0253 was begun. Amylin dose rates were 50, 100 and 300 pmol/kg/min. Dose rates of AC-0253 were 500 and 1500 pmol/kg/min. 25% glucose (1 gm/kg) was administered by mouth at t=0 minutes. Amylin±AC-0253 was discontinued at t=120 minutes. Samples for insulin, glucose and lactate were obtained at 15 minute intervals from t=−45 to t=180 minutes. Samples for rat amylin and AC-0253 were taken at t=60 and 120 minutes.
