PROCEDURE

830 mg of N-[6-[3-[4-(diphenylmethoxy)piperidino]propylamino][1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b]pyridazine-3-carbonyl]-2,2-dimethylglycine ethyl ester was dissolved in 10 ml of ethanol; 3.2 ml of a 1 N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide was added, followed by stirring at room temperature for 17 hours. After the ethanol was distilled off, 1 N hydrochloric acid was added to reach pH 4.5. The precipitated crystal was collected by filtration, washed with water and ethanol, and dried, to yield 610 mg of the title compound.
