Procedure
3.22 ml of bromoacetyl bromide were added dropwise under an inert gas atmosphere at 0° C. to 19.23 g of tritylamine in 50 ml of chloroform and then the mixture was stirred for one hour while allowing the temperature to rise to ambient temperature. After filtration of the precipitate, the organic phase was washed with 1N sodium hydroxide, dried, evaporated under reduced pressure until a residue was obtained which was purified by crystallization from ether to obtain 8.5 g of the expected amide.
