Neat methanesulfonyl chloride (0.18 mL, 2.4 mmol) was added to a 0° C., DCM solution (20 mL) of 1-(2-bromo-4-chlorophenyl)ethanol (558 mg, 2.4 mmol) and Et3N (0.36 mL, 2.6 mmol) and the resulting mixture was allowed to warm to room temperature gradually. After 30 min Et3N (0.36 mL, 2.6 mmol) and 4′-fluoro-[1,1′-biphenyl]-4-amine (444 g, 2.4 mmol) were added sequentially and stirred at room temperature. After 16 h the resulting mixture was concentrated and purified via column chromatography to yield the title compound.
