Procedure

2.665 g lithium hydroxide were added to a mixture of 6.5 g racemic racemic 4-[4-fluoro-2-((trans)-3-hydroxy-cyclohexyloxy)-phenylamino]-5-methyl-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6-carboxylic acid methylester in 350 ml water and 70 ml water. The mixture was stirred overnight. Then the mixture was acidified by addition of citric acid (10% in water) and concentrated. Water was added and the mixture was filtered. The solid was washed with water and dried.
