Procedure
7.65 ml of a 1N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide are added to 0.735 g (1.53 mmol) of methyl 3-{3-[(2-methyl-4-oxo-3-propyl-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-6-yl)carbonyl]imidazo[1,5-a]pyridin-1-yl}benzoate in 30 ml of THF. The reaction medium is refluxed for 2.5 hours. After acidification with 10 ml of a 1N aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid, the reaction medium is concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue is taken up in 20 ml of water. The precipitate obtained is filtered off, and dried under reduced pressure at 50° C. overnight. 0.52 g of a yellow solid is obtained.
