Procedure
60.1 ml (60.1 mmol) of a 1N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide are added to 6.67 g (12 mmol) of methyl 5-[(1-bromoimidazo[1,5-a]pyridin-3-yl)carbonyl]-2-({[2-(4-fluorophenoxy)ethyl]carbamoyl}amino)benzoate dissolved in 600 ml of methanol. After refluxing for 2 hours, the reaction medium is acidified with 120 ml of a 1N aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid and then diluted with 2000 ml of water. The precipitate obtained is filtered off, and dried under reduced pressure at 40° C. overnight. 5.83 g of a yellow solid are obtained.
