2-(3-Methylamino-4-nitro-phenyl)-acetamide (727.0 mg) was prepared by following General Procedure A beginning with 2-(3-chloro-4-nitro-phenyl)-acetamide (1.0 g) in methylamine (2.0 M in THF, 20 mL). The crude product was used in the next step without further purification.
