Reaction Steps
A solution of the product from Step C (6.53 g, 15.8 mmol) in ethyl acetate (20 mL) was saturated with HCl gas. The solution was stirred for 1.5 hours and then concentrated in vacuo to yield the titled compound as a white solid.
