Procedure

A solution of 2-(3-(Pyridin-3-yl)phenyl)benzo[d]oxazole-7-carboxamide (110 mg, 0.35 mmol) and platinum (IV) oxide monohydrate (55 mg) in methanol (20 mL) was purged with 20 atm of hydrogen at 50° C. for 24 h. Then the mixture was filtered and adjusted to pH=9. The solvent was removed in vacuum. The crude was purified by chromatography (dichlormethane/methanol=9:1) to give the solid. The solid was acidified by hydrochloride acid and wash with ethyl acetate. The solvent was removed in vacuum. 11 mg of 2-(3-(piperidin-3-yl)phenyl)benzo[d]oxazole-7-carboxamide was obtained, yield: 10%. 1H-NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 1.93-1.97 (m, 2H), 2.12-2.14 (m, 2H), 3.07-3.27 (m, 3H), 3.51 (t, 2H), 7.53 (t, 1H); 7.60-7.63 (m, 2H), 7.91 (d, J=6.4 Hz, 1H); 7.94 (d, J=6.4 Hz, 1H); 8.26-8.29 (d, J=3.2 Hz, 1H). LC-MS (ESI) m/z: 321 (M+1)+.
