KOH (0.050 g, 0.89 mmol) was added to (2R)-2-[(2-chloro-5-{[(1S)-1-(2-fluorophenyl)ethyl]thio}[1,3]thiazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-7-yl)amino]-4-fluoro-4-methylpentan-1-ol in MeOH (5 mL) and the mixture was heated to 50° C. After 3 h the mixture was diluted with NaCl (aq) and extracted with CHCl3, the organic phase was dried (MgSO4) and evaporated to give the title compound.
