Procedure

Methyl 4-(3-(trifluoromethylthio)phenylcarbamoyl)furan-3-carboxylate is prepared from 4-(methoxycarbonyl)furan-3-carboxylic acid and 3-(trifluoromethylthio) aniline following Method G (yield=78%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CHCl3) δ 11.66 (s, 1H), 8.29 (s, 1H), 8.22-8.09 (m, 1H), 7.96-7.82 (m, 2H), 7.50-7.37 (m, 2H), 3.99 (s, 3H); ESI(−) calcd. for C14H9F3NO4S (344.02). Found 344.0
