Procedure
To (4-{6-bromo-7-[4-(thiazol-2-ylcarbamoylmethyl)-piperazin-1-yl]-3H-imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-yl}-benzyl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.053 g, 0.08 mmol) in dichloromethane (4 ml) was slowly added trifluoroacetic acid (0.5 ml) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 h then concentrated in vacuo. The crude product was run trough a 2 g SCX cartridge and eluted with 0.1M NH3 in methanol to give the title compound as a pale yellow solid (0.046 g, 100%).
