Procedure

A round bottom flask was charged with (R)-2-(6-chloro-5-(3-fluoro-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzylcarbamoyl)-1-oxoisoquinolin-2(1H)-yl)propyl acetate (120 mg, 0.00022 mol), potassium carbonate (100 mg, 0.0007 mol) and methanol (7 mL, 0.2 mol). The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by reverse phase preparative HPLC to afford the desired product as a white solid.
