Procedure
A mixture of (R)-2-(6-Chloro-5-((1-hydroxycycloheptyl)methylcarbamoyl)-1-oxoisoquinolin-2(1H)-yl)propyl acetate (620 mg, 0.0012 mol) and potassium carbonate (300 mg, 0.002 mol) was stirred in methanol (50 mL, 1 mol) at room temperature for 1 h. The mixture was concentrated, and the residue was purified by reverse phase preparative HPLC and then by flash chromatography to afford the desired product as a white solid.
