PROCEDURE

To a solution of the acid 1 (142 mg, 2 eq, 1.58 mmol) in dry DCM (10 ml), at 0° C., was added, BOPCl (502 mg, 2 eq, 0.826 mmol) and the reaction mixture was stirred for 10 minutes. A solution of the amine 87 (348 mg, 0.79 mmol) and iPr2NEt (610 mg, 6 eq, 4.72 mmol) in dry DCM (7 ml) was then added and the reaction mixture was stirred at RT overnight. The reaction mixture was concentrated to dryness and partitioned between EtOAc and satd NaHCO3 soln, the organic phase was washed twice with saturated NaHCO3 then collected, dried over sodium sulfate and filtered. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the crude was purified by column chromatography (EtOAc) to afford the desired product 88 as an off-white solid (102 mg, 21% yield). 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ (ppm): 10.58 (s, 1H), 10.22 (s, 1H), 8.48 (d, J=5.28 Hz, 1H), 8.03 (s, 1H), 7.85 (m, 3H), 7.59 (m, 2H), 7.43 (m, 4H), 7.32 (m, 2H), 7.05 (t, J=7.43 Hz, 1H), 6.61 (m, 1H), 3.70 (t, J=6.65 Hz, 2H), 3.59 (s, 2H), 3.50 (s, 2H), 2.69 (m, 2H), 2.20 (s, 3H).
