Dissolve 1.9 g (4.86 mmol) of the product obtained in Step 1 in 30 ml of ethanol and add to that solution 7 ml (24.3 mmol, 5 equivalents) of HCl in ethanol (3.5N). Heat overnight at 60° C. and evaporate the reaction mixture to dryness. The residue obtained is taken up in water, and the aqueous phase is then adjusted to pH=8 by adding 20% sodium hydroxide solution and extracted with dichloromethane. The organic phase is washed with water, dried over MgSO4, filtered and then evaporated to dryness. 1.1 g of the title product are obtained in the form of a colourless oil.
