Pearlman's catalyst (0.10 eq.) was suspended in a 0.35 M EtOH solution of tert-butyl benzyl[(3-{methyl[2-(methylamino)ethyl]amino}propyl)sulfonyl]carbamate and the mixture was stirred under an hydrogen atmosphere for 4h. The crude was filtered on a CELITE pad and washed with EtOH; after evaporation of the solvent, the product was obtained as white solid, which was used without further characterisation (98% yield, two steps). (ES+) m/z 310 (M+H)+.
