The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 2-bromopyridine (80 mg, 0.51 mmol) and pent-4-ynoic acid (3-chloro-phenyl)-methyl-amide (113 mg, 0.51 mmol). The crude residue was purified by C18 flash chromatography to yield 51 mg (0.17 mmol, 33%) of N-(3-chlorophenyl)-N-methyl-5-(pyridin-2-yl)pent-4-ynamide as a brown liquid.
