A suspension of 3-fluoro-4-hydroxy-5-vinylbenzoic acid methyl ester (121 mg) and 10% palladium carbon (20 mg) in THF (1 mL)-methanol (1 mL) was hydrogenated at room temperature over night at medium pressure (3 kgf/cm2). The catalyst was filtered off through a Celite pad, and the filtrate was concentrated to give the title compound (121 mg).
