Procedure
A mixture of 5-bromo-8-(2,6-difluoro-3,5-dimethoxy-phenyl)-quinoxaline (Step 88.3) (1.1 g, 2.9 mmol) (Step 88.3) and CuCN (312 mg, 3.4 mmol, 1.2 equiv) in NMP (10 mL) was stirred for 4 h at 150° C., under an argon atmosphere. The reaction mixture was allowed to cool to rt, diluted with DCM/(10% aqueous solution of ethylenediamine) (100 mL) and extracted with DCM. The organic phase was washed with H2O and brine, dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated. The residue was triturated in EtOAc to provide 702 mg of the title compound as a beige solid: ESI-MS: 328.1 [M+H]+; tR=4.48 min (System 1).
