Trifluoroacetic acid (8 mL) was added to a solution of tert-butyl 4-[(3R*,4S*)-3-[2-(tert-butoxy)-2-oxoethyl]-1-{[2-chloro-6-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methyl}-4-methylpyrrolidin-3-amido]piperidine-1-carboxylate obtained in Example 3c (320 mg, 0.518 mmol) in dichloromethane (dehydrated) (8 mL) under ice-cooling, followed by stirring at room temperature for 2.5 hours. The reaction liquid was concentrated under reduced pressure, and the residue was purified by ODS column chromatography (elution solvent: water/methanol) to give a mixture containing the title compound (344 mg).
