tert-Butyl 3-(3-(2-(4-(2-isopropylthiazole-4-carbonyl)-1-oxa-4,9-diazaspiro[5.5]undecan-9-yl)ethyl)phenethoxy)propanoate [Example 34a, step b] (13.2 g) was stirred in dichloromethane (150 mL) and trifluoroacetic acid (50 mL) was added. The solution was stirred for 1 hour. The solvents were evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue dissolved in acetonitrile and the solution evaporated under reduced pressure to afford the subtitled compound. Yield 14.4 g.
