A 1.00 g (1.33 mmol, 1.00 equiv) amount of 1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-3-(1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-3-(1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-3-nitro-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxamido)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxamido)-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid methyl ester [O2N-Pz(PMB)-Pz(PMB)-Pz(PMB)-OMe] and 81 mg of lithium hydroxide (3.38 mmol, 2.54 equiv) were stirred in a mixture of methanol/THF/water (5:5:1) for 18 h. The crude product is prepared according to general procedure A to yield the compound as a colorless solid. Yield: 0.92 g (1.25 mmol, 94%).
