The title compound was prepared using a procedure similar to the one described for the synthesis of Intermediate 21, using 5-fluoropyridine-2-carbaldehyde and (S)-2-methylpropane-2-sulfinamide as the starting materials. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 8.67 (s, 1H) 8.58 (s, 1H) 8.06 (dd, J=8.29, 4.52 Hz, 1H) 7.51 (t, J=7.91 Hz, 1H) 1.20-1.33 (m, 9H). The product was used without purification.
