4-[1-(2,4-Dichloro-phenyl)-5-methyl-1H-[1,2,4]triazol-3-ylamino]-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (120 mg, 0.28 mmol) was dissolved in dioxane (2 ml) saturated with HCl gas. The mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature, concentrated and the residue triturated with diethyl ether to yield the title compound as a brownish solid (57 mg, 56%).
